📘About These Standards
While the RummyWorks Code of Conduct outlines the enforceable rules that apply to all Rummy Club spaces, the nature of play, conversation, and connection within Rummy Club merits an additional level of cultural clarity.
These Community Standards describe the values that guide our community and the spirit in which the Code of Conduct is applied. They are not a list of rules — they are a shared understanding of what makes Rummy Club excellent.
These Standards apply to all community participants, including online participants, guests, and players, across every Rummy Club space hosted or supported by RummyWorks.
🎯 Our Shared Values
🛡️ Safety
Safety isn’t just the absence of harm — it’s the presence of care. We protect people, set clear boundaries, and intervene early when something feels off. Safety makes honest play possible and helps newcomers feel confident joining in.
- Respect personal boundaries and cultural differences
- Use platform tools or staff support to report concerns
- Avoid retaliation or escalation — choose repair over conflict
💛 Respect & Kindness
Respect is not performance or politeness to sidestep conflict. It’s recognition of inherent human dignity — a baseline that no one has to earn. Kindness builds on that foundation: empathy, patience, and warmth, especially when it’s hard.
- Disagree without demeaning
- Assume good intent, but stay accountable
- Treat others with the same dignity you expect
🌈 Inclusion
Inclusion is not about optics — it’s about access and belonging. We design spaces where people of all ages, abilities, backgrounds, and experience levels can participate fully. Family-friendly means everyone feels welcome.
- Adapt rules teaching and pacing for different skill levels
- Use plain language and accessible communication
- Proactively check for needs, not just react to struggles
🃏 Fair Play
Fair play is integrity in action. Rules matter, but so does the spirit behind them. We compete with honesty, celebrate growth, and remember that how we play together matters more than the score.
- Agree on house rules before gameplay begins
- Correct mistakes gently and with grace
- Celebrate wins, own losses, and keep perspective
🧭 Community Norms & Boundaries
These guidelines are a values-first snapshot of what we strive for—and what we avoid—when we show up at Rummy Club and all RummyWorks-produced events or when using RummyWorks-hosted services, and spaces—whether online, in person, or behind the scenes. They’re shared expectations that help us protect the vibe and foster connection.
The full list of enforceable rules, escalation procedures, and platform-specific policies lives in the RummyWorks Code of Conduct.
✅ What We Expect From Community Participants
Whether you're an online participant, a guest at an event, or a player at the table, we expect you to:
- Be excellent to one another
- Keep language inclusive and family-friendly
- Focus on what unites us — rummy, laughter, and connection
- Respect privacy — yours and others’
- Use AI thoughtfully — only if it adds value and reflects human care
- Follow guidance from Games Hosts, moderators, and RummyWorks staff
🚫 What Doesn’t Belong
To protect the vibe, we do not allow:
- Hate speech, slurs, or discriminatory language
- Harassment, bullying, or intimidation
- Explicit, violent, or disturbing content
- Spam, scams, or deceptive promotions
- Off-topic debates that divide more than they connect
- Sharing personal contact info publicly
- Organizing unofficial in-person meetups through Rummy Club platforms
- Excessive self-promotion or commercial posts without approval
📣 Reporting & Accountability
If you see something concerning:
- Don’t engage directly — report it to a moderator, Games Host, or RummyWorks staff
- Use platform tools (e.g., “Report a Concern”) where available
- Trust the process — we aim for repair, not punishment, but repeated or severe violations may result in removal
♿ Accessibility & Inclusion
We strive to make Rummy Club accessible to everyone. While we may not be able to accommodate every individual need, we are committed to providing reasonable accommodations whenever possible. If you have specific accessibility concerns, contact us at [email protected] so we can work together to create a welcoming experience.
